Richmond Hill Cycling

Since there really isn't a "group" yet, there really isn't a "local ride" but that's part of what I hope we can change. So I'll just tell you where I ride mostly.

Being based in Buckhead, I have a lot of directions to choose from and I usually base it on how long I want/can ride and what the wind direction is. From my house to the far end of 144 at Fancy Hall is just over 8 miles one way. To the museum at Fort McAllister is 8 miles. My favorite ride is probably out Belfast Keller to Belfast Siding and Highway 17 which is 12 miles.

I tend to start my rides in to the wind so I don't have to fight my way home. I also don't generally ride north on 144 except on the weekends when I can ride in the mornings when the traffic is low. So usually I head out either towards Fancy Hall or Highway 17 in the evenings. On weekend mornings I'm riding to Fort McAllister museum, out Belfast Keller-Belfast Siding-Highway 17-Buckhead which is nearly 36 miles.

I'm sure most of you do the same thing so we're scattered all over the area riding the same roads at different times or different roads at the same time.
